We are a “No Fee” resource center providing computers, phones, fax machines, and copiers; workshops, publications, meeting space and referrals for job seekers and local businesses.
…to contribute to the economic development of our community by providing the highest quality of service to our job seekers and business customers. We strive to achieve this goal through continuous quality improvement, recognition of the unique needs of each customer, dedication to compassionate, friendly, and courteous service, and a results-oriented work ethic.
How are we funded?
Through the 1998 Workforce Investment Act (WIA). Money is distributed to all states by the Federal Government’s Department of Labor (DOL). The DOL distributes money to the states, and then the states distribute the funds to selected areas. Santa Clarita WorkSource California Center funding comes from Los Angeles County, through the Antelope Valley Workforce Investment Consortium, then to the City of Santa Clarita. The City of Santa Clarita is the “Lead” agency of the Santa Clarita WorkSource California Center.
The Santa Clarita WorkSource California Center has a staff of twelve providing services under the Workforce Investment Act. The WorkSource Center serves Businesses, Job Seekers, and Youth. Staff include representatives from the Employment Development Department (EDD), the City of Santa Clarita, and the Title V senior worker program.
